Dear CCCA members,
CCCA encourages our members to continue doing what you have been doing for the past week, identifying your choice of target charities, and showing your support to all the first responders and local communities including the Chinese families who have been impacted. Many companies provide matching funds, so your own donation made to the non-profit charities supported by your employer would maximize the effect of the donation. Chinese community stands as a whole and as a part of the big Conejo Valley. Your names will represent the power of love and prove the strength of Chinese community in our society.
Here are some charities you could consider. CCCA will keep updating the recommendation list via our website
1. Ventura County Community Foundation – Conejo Valley Victims Fund
2. Ventura Fire Foundation
3. LA Fire Department Foundation
4. The Red Cross of Ventura County and The Red Cross of LA County
5. California Community Foundation Wildfire Relief Fund
— At this moment, to show our standing with our members, the Board of Directors has decided to act fast and make a straight donation of $2000 dollars to each of the following charities.
1. Ventura County Community Foundation – Conejo Valley Victims Fund
2. Ventura Fire Foundation
3. LA Fire Department Foundation
— On the day of 12/01/2018, CCCA will host a “Share and Care” event at our Cultural Center. Reception will be provided. You are more than welcome to join us to share your story or show your care. Let’s be together! Details will soon be provided by our Cultural Center Committee.
— “Together We Stand” Holiday Fundraiser will take place at 6:00 pm, on Saturday, 12/15, at Moorpark Country Club. CCCA will donate $10 for each ticket sold into a First Responders Appreciation Fund. Action items will also be announced at the Fundraiser event. We accept cash or check donation on site for this appreciation program.
Let’s turn our Appreciation into Action! Life goes on; Together we stand positive.
